Miss Shara is qualified by the I.S.T.D (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) and is an expert in teaching all major disciplines of ballet, tap and modern. Shara studied all her examinations at every grade in all three disciplines from Primary all the way through to Advance levels before studying for her I.S.T.D teaching qualification. Miss Shara also holds a BEd (Hons) degree in Education & Training and has previously taught for over a decade at Leeds City College running the BTEC Performing Arts courses, and previous to this, teaching Acting and Musical Theatre for Leeds College of Music and various other institutions.

Shara has been dancing and performing for the past 37 years since age 5. Shara’s professional performance career started as a child appearing in theatres such as Bradford Alhambra, Wakefield Opera House, West Yorkshire Playhouse and many more. Shara has worked within musical theatre, pantomime, television and the recording industry. Shara is not only a dancer but has also had a successful singing career appearing in bands and as a solo artist at events such as Leeds Festival, opening of the Olympics at Leeds Royal Armouries, radio appearances and more. Shara has also had a successful acting career appearing in Holly Oaks, Emerdale, TV commercials and theatre.

Shara is passionate about helping children gain self confidence and self belief, learning how to creatively express themselves through the power of dance and performing arts, and is very excited to be meeting your little one and helping them to learn new skills whilst having an enormous amount of fun at Tutu’s & Unicorns®!
